Following the massive success of the Windsor EV, JSW MG Motor India introduced the MG Select premium dealer network and two exclusive luxury vehicles. We are talking about MG Cyberster and MG M9. Now there is speculation that JSW MG Motor India will bring the Wuling Starlight 7-seater SUV in the country.
The Starlight is likely to be offered only with its plug-in hybrid powertrain and is expected to be launched by the end of 2026. Moreover, JSW MG Motor India has a lot more to offer us, as revealed by a recent report. These include the iM6 SUV to be launched in 2026 under the MG Select dealer network and the new Creta and Sierra rivals to be launched in 2027. Let’s take a closer look.

MG IM6 Premium Performance Electric SUV
As part of MG’s new product offensive, we are expected to get a new premium performance electric SUV through MG Select dealerships. We are talking about IM6, which was showcased at the 2025 India Mobility Expo. iM (Intelligent Mobility) is a SAIC brand just like MG Motor and is expected to be positioned below the M9 at a price of around Rs 60 lakh when it launches in 2026.
It has a 26.3-inch wide display and a 10.5-inch portrait display inside, LED lighting, LiDAR-based ADAS, aerodynamic body, and more. The 800V architecture battery pack offers a capacity of up to 100 kWh with 778 bhp and 802 Nm in dual motor AWD configuration, while promising a range of up to 555 km and a 0-100 km/h acceleration of up to 3.4 seconds.

XUV7XO, XEV 9S rival – Starlight 560 SUV
Another MG NEV to be launched in 2026 is said to be a plug-in hybrid vehicle and testing for the same has already begun. We are talking about the Starlight 560 SUV, which is available in both 5-seater and 7-seater configurations, powered by both plug-in hybrid and pure electric powertrains. Internally codenamed 520, this upcoming SUV is going to rival the Mahindra XUV7XO, XEV 9S as well as the Tata Harrier and Harrier EV, among others.
The Starlight 560 measures approximately 4,745 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width, 1,755 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,810 mm. The 1.5L petrol engine is mated to a 20.5 kWh battery pack and an electric motor, enough for a pure electric range of 100 km. The Starlight EV comes with a 56.7 kWh battery and a range of around 500 km on a single charge. Likely to be launched by the end of 2026.

Creta, Sierra rival – launching in 2027
While the Windsor EV has been a smash hit for the company, the ZS EV and its ICE counterpart, the Astor, have not enjoyed such success. JSW MG Motor India is set to phase out both these vehicles in the coming years, to be replaced by new offerings that may be based on the globally sold MG One SUV.
MG is said to offer this vehicle in both ICE and EV versions, taking on its respective rivals. Both versions may be based on SAIC Motor’s SIGMA platform. The ICE version will take on rivals like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Sierra, Maruti Victoris and others, while the EV version will take on Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE6, Tata Curve EV and others. The launch is likely to take place in 2027.
