market overview

While overall passenger vehicle sales remain on a positive growth path, month-on-month declines at several major OEMs indicate some demand slowdown after a strong January performance. The growth in February was largely driven by demand for SUVs, which continued to dominate the Indian car market. As the financial year comes to an end, March 2026 sales will play a key role in determining the final FY26 performance for automakers in India.
