The 2026 Exeter facelift is expected to focus on enhancing its technology package and safety while retaining the powertrain options
Hyundai will introduce many new products this year to strengthen its portfolio. One of these will be the Exeter facelift, which has been spotted several times in recent months. Latest spy shots from Korea reveal the front, side and rear profiles of the Exeter facelift. Let’s see the details.
Hyundai Exeter Facelift – What to Expect?
Although the test vehicle is completely hidden, one can still trace the basic design of the grille, headlamps, taillights and other similar details. The steel wheels suggest that this is one of the base variants being tested. If we look at the current model, the EX and EX(O) trims are offered with R14 steel wheels. The front and rear lighting elements appear to be the same as the current model.

The front grille also looks similar and the same applies to the bumper section. However, there may be some new details hidden beneath the camouflage cover. Moving to the side, the same muscular wheel arch cladding can be seen. These play an important role in enhancing Exeter’s street presence. There are no roof rails, a feature that is not available even with the current base variant of the Exeter.
internal refresh
Overall, it appears that the Exeter facelift will maintain largely the same exterior profile as the existing model. More focus can be placed on increasing comfort and convenience, adding new technological features and improving passenger safety. Upgrades such as a larger infotainment system and more advanced features on the digital instrument console are likely. The connected car experience can be made even better.

Other possibilities include features like ventilated front seats, front and rear armrests and a rear sunshade. These updates will make the Exeter better suited for longer journeys. Some small changes can be made in the cabin for a new look. The safety package can be improved with a range of driver assistance features.

The Exeter already has a strong safety package with features like 6 airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), vehicle stability management, rear parking sensors and rear camera with dynamic guidelines. It also includes Hill Start Assist Control (HAC) and Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). The Exeter also has a dashcam to deal with those tricky situations.
same powertrain
The Hyundai Exeter facelift is expected to continue with the existing powertrain options. The SUV is offered with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates 83 PS and 113.8 Nm torque. It is paired with a 5-speed manual or Smart Auto AMT transmission. The Exeter is also available with bi-fuel petrol + CNG option. Output is 69 PS and 95.2 Nm when running on CNG. The Exeter CNG is offered only with a 5-speed manual transmission.

The Hyundai Xcent facelift will continue to compete with the Tata Punch and Maruti Suzuki Swift. With the update, a slight increase in price can be expected. The current model is available in the price range of Rs 5.64 lakh to Rs 8.85 lakh.
