For the past few years, Mahindra has used August 14 to introduce a major new product, and this year the spotlight is likely to be on the updated Scorpio N. The Mahindra Scorpio N facelift is expected to debut on August 14, 2026, and the latest spy images now give us our clearest look yet at its production-ready cabin.
Large touchscreen, digital instrument cluster
While the exterior changes are expected to be relatively evolutionary, Mahindra seems to have focused more on upgrading the cabin and equipment list of the Scorpio N. The most notable change is the new, larger freestanding infotainment touchscreen. Going by the layout seen in these images, the Scorpio N facelift appears to be largely borrowed from the Thar Rocks.
The Thar Rocks uses a 10.25-inch touchscreen and a 10.25-inch fully digital driver display, and the Scorpio N facelift now appears to get a similar setup. It is a significant upgrade over the small touchscreen and semi-digital instrument cluster offered with the current Scorpio N. The new digital instrument display can also be clearly seen in the spy images, which show a redesigned interface with vehicle and driver information.
Mahindra has retained physical controls for important functions, making the cabin easier to operate while driving. However, the switchgear below the climate control panel has been redesigned. The new toggle-style buttons once again look similar to the ones used on the Thar Rocks. The dual-zone climate control continues, while the center console retains a familiar layout with gear lever, cupholders and electronic parking brake.
More features expected
Previous Scorpio N facelift test mules have already hinted that Mahindra is preparing a comprehensive feature upgrade. A panoramic sunroof is expected to be one of the major additional features, replacing the small sunroof currently available.
Other expected features include a 360-degree camera system, upgraded audio, ventilated seats and additional connected-car functionality. Level 2 ADAS is also expected on higher variants. The latest interior images suggest that Mahindra is focusing on bringing the Scorpio N closer to newer models like the Thar Rocks and XUV7XO in terms of cabin technology.
On the outside, the facelifted Scorpio N is expected to get a revised front fascia with new lighting elements, bumper and grille. New alloy wheels have already been seen on previously tested vehicles, while changes at the rear are likely to be relatively minor.
Engines are likely to continue
Major mechanical changes are not expected. The Scorpio N facelift is expected to continue with the existing 2.0-litre turbo petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines with manual and torque converter automatic gearbox options. The four-wheel-drive variant is also expected to continue. It remains to be seen whether Mahindra brings any changes in the output of the diesel engine with the facelift. The price is expected to remain the same as the current price. Scorpio range is Mahindra’s top seller. With the arrival of facelift, Mahindra sales may increase even more.
