Imported as a CBU from Japan, the Honda ZR-V e:HEV becomes the company’s new flagship offering in India
Honda Cars India has launched the ZR-V e:HEV at a price of Rs 47.99 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. Deliveries begin today, July 25, 2026. Honda says the initial response has been encouraging, with the first two batches allocated to India already booked. Globally, the ZR-V is set to cross cumulative sales of 8 lakh units by 2022.
184 PS Sports Hybrid
Powering the Honda ZR-V is a 2.0-litre e:HEV sports hybrid system consisting of a direct-injection Atkinson-cycle petrol engine and a dual-motor hybrid setup. Combined outputs with the e-CVT are 184 PS and 315 Nm. The hybrid system switches between electric, hybrid and engine drive modes depending on driving conditions. Honda claims a fuel efficiency of 22.8 km/l, while the 0-100 km/h sprint takes 7.9 seconds.

We recently drove the ZR-V at the Buddh International Circuit (BIC), where its agile acceleration and high-speed maneuverability were one of the main attractions. Independent suspension at all four corners, a relatively low 180 mm ground clearance and a sedan-like driving position contribute to its sporty character.
Features and Security
Inside, the ZR-V gets an all-black cabin with leather upholstery. It has a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Other features include 12-speaker Bose audio, wireless charging, dual-zone climate control, powered front seats, driver seat memory, regenerative braking pedals and a hands-free powered tailgate.

The rear seats get a 60:40 split function and when the second row is folded, the maximum luggage capacity increases to 1,313 litres. The Honda Sensing ADAS suite is standard and includes Collision Mitigation Braking System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, and Road Departure Mitigation. The ZR-V also gets 8 airbags, 360-degree camera, vehicle stability assist, hill descent control and front and rear parking sensors.

The first two batches have already been booked
Honda ZR-V is available in four colors – Twilight Mist Black Pearl, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, Platinum White Pearl and Crystal Black Pearl. The standard warranty is three years with unlimited kilometres, while the extended warranty is available for up to seven years. The lithium-ion hybrid battery gets a warranty of 8 years / 1.60 lakh km, while the hybrid components get a warranty of 5 years / 1 lakh km.
