Maruti Suzuki has launched the 2026 Brezza at Rs 7.40 lakh, but there are two things we can’t tell you right now. First of all, Maruti has not revealed the full variant-wise prices. Second, a The ban prevents media from publishing comparisons with rivals until August 27.. So currently Rs 7.40 lakh and specifications will have to be spent.
New Brezza 1.0L Turbo – Available in all variants
One of the biggest developments is the return of Maruti’s K10C BoosterJet turbo petrol engine. This 1.0-litre direct-injection unit produces 110 hp and 170 Nm and is paired with a new 6-speed manual gearbox.
Unlike being limited to only the higher variants, the turbo petrol option is available in LXi, VXi, ZXi, ZXi Dual Tone, ZXi+ and ZXi+ Dual Tone trims. This gives customers access to a more powerful engine even with the entry-level Brezza.
The existing 1.5-litre K15C naturally aspirated petrol engine also continues. It gets a new 6-speed manual transmission in place of the earlier 5-speed manual. A 6-speed automatic is available from VXi to ZXi+. Interestingly, the ZXi+ with the K15C engine is only automatic, while the turbo petrol ZXi+ gets a 6-speed manual.
Brezza CNG gets 6-speed manual
There are notable changes in the Brezza CNG too. The 1.5-litre K15C CNG powertrain now gets a 6-speed manual gearbox and Idle Start Stop (ISS). The CNG variants are available in LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi Dual Tone trims. Another major change reported for the updated model is the underbody-mounted CNG tank. It addresses one of the biggest compromises associated with conventional CNG SUVs – less boot space.
Over 13 new features
Maruti has also strengthened the Brezza’s equipment list, introducing over 13 new features depending on the powertrain and selected variants. Even the LXi Turbo gets automatic climate control, driver seat height adjustment and adjustable rear headrests on the corresponding K15C LXi equipment.
Moving up to the VXI Turbo, it adds dual-tone crystal-cut alloy wheels, rear defogger, electrically folding ORVMs and a reverse parking camera. The ZXi Turbo gets another set of upgrades, which include TPMS, blind-spot warning and front parking sensors. It also gets cruise control, rear wiper and washer, automatic headlamp leveling and two tweeters.
Brezza ZXi+ gets ventilated seats, 10.1-inch screen
Most of the key features are concentrated in the range-topping ZXi+. New equipment includes ventilated front seats, 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 64-color interior ambient lighting, HD 360-degree camera and LED front fog lamps with extended lighting.
It also has an automatic air purification system with PM2.5 display, Gen3 telematics, semi-leather seats and smart seat-back pockets. Other equipment includes head-up display, front center armrest, auto-dimming IRVM, electrically folding ORVMs and dual-tone crystal-cut alloy wheels.
Meanwhile, the ZXi variant offers equipment like electric sunroof, projector LED headlamps, LED DRL, telescopic steering adjustment, 60:40 split rear seats, 4.2-inch color TFT display, roof rails, rear armrest and push-button start.
standard safety equipment
The entry-level Brezza gets a fairly comprehensive safety package. Equipment includes six airbags, ESP with hill-hold assist, emergency stop signal and rear parking sensors. Other standard or entry-level equipment listed includes projector headlamps, LED rear combination lamps, keyless entry, electrically adjustable ORVMs with turn indicators, rear power windows, rear AC vents, manual day/night IRVM and 215/60 R16 tyres. Higher variants include features like TPMS, blind-spot warning, front parking sensors, reverse camera and HD 360-degree camera.
external changes remain subtle
Compared to the mechanical and equipment modifications, styling changes are relatively minor. The new Brezza gets an updated front grille with a dark chrome connecting element between the headlamps. The front bumper has also been revised with new details and a redesigned faux skid plate.
The fog lamp positioning has been changed, while the new alloy wheel design and dual-tone lower body cladding provide some variation at the edges. The rear design is largely familiar. With a 2,500 mm wheelbase, the Brezza measures 3,995 mm in length, 1,790 mm in width and 1,685 mm in height.
Strong rival to Nexon, Venue, Kylaq, XUV 3XO
The addition of the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine significantly boosts the Brezza’s position in the sub-4-metre SUV segment. Earlier, the Brezza was completely dependent on its larger naturally aspirated petrol engine, while most of the key rivals offered turbo petrol options. With the new K10C turbo producing 110 hp and 170 Nm, the Brezza now has a more direct answer to the turbo petrol versions of the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra
