The troubles of Shiv Sena (UBT), which is recovering from the shock of the rebellion of Lok Sabha MPs, do not seem to be reducing. Now the party may have to suffer another big loss in Parliament. After the merger of 6 MPs of the party with Shiv Sena (Shinde), not only will its parliamentary strength decrease, but clouds of crisis are also looming over its office located in the Parliament House complex.
According to sources, after getting the formal approval of the Lok Sabha Speaker in this matter, only four MPs will be left in the Shiv Sena (UBT) parliamentary party.
Under the rules of Parliament, usually only parties with five or more MPs are allotted a separate office in the Parliament House complex. In such a situation, the party may have to lose its current office.
Party’s participation in parliamentary activities may be affected
The decrease in the number of MPs may also affect the party’s participation in political and parliamentary activities. Parties with less than five MPs are generally not invited to all-party meetings called by the Central Government on important national and parliamentary issues. In such a situation, questions may also be raised on the presence of Shiv Sena (UBT) in these meetings in future.

At present, the office of the parliamentary party of Shiv Sena (UBT) is located in room number 128A of the Constitution House (Old Parliament House). This office is right next to room number 128 allotted to undivided Shiv Sena. After the possible reduction in the number of MPs, eyes are also on the status of allocation of this office.
