
With the new Jimny variants in Malaysia, the focus is on improving comfort, convenience and safety
Suzuki has launched two new variants of the Jimny in Malaysia – Allgrip Plus and Rhino Plus. Both of these are 3-door variants. The price of Jimny AllGrip Plus starts at RM158,900 (Rs 37.28 lakh) and the price of Jimny Rhino Plus starts at RM173,900 (Rs 40.80 lakh). Since the Jimny is imported into Malaysia, the prices are high. The new variant gets extensive updates while keeping the powertrain intact.
Jimny AllGrip Plus Variant – What’s New?
The recently introduced Jimny AllGrip Plus is basically the new base variant of the Jimny 3-door lineup in Malaysia. It will serve as a replacement for the earlier Jimny Allgrip Pro. The latter is still available for sale in Malaysia, but only while stocks last. The new Jimny AllGrip Plus is being offered at the same price as the existing Jimny AllGrip Pro.

Safety upgrades are a major focus area for the new Jimny AllGrip Plus variant. ADAS upgrades include lane departure warning and stop and weave warning. The SUV now has a reverse camera with millimeter wave radar. Other safety features include Dual Sensor Brake Support II (DSBS II), adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, emergency stop signal and side and curtain airbags. With the additional airbags, the Jimny in Malaysia now has six airbags.
With the new Jimny AllGrip Plus variant, users can also expect improved comfort and convenience. This is possible with new features like 9-inch infotainment touchscreen, electrically foldable and heated side mirrors and front and rear parking sensors with clearance sonar. The new 9-inch touchscreen supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and has USB, Bluetooth, radio and auxiliary audio connectivity.

Jimny Rhino Plus – What’s new?
In addition to the new features introduced with the Suzuki Jimny AllGrip Plus, the Jimny Rhino Plus gets even more equipment. These mostly focus on visual enhancement. The Jimny Rhino Plus gets front grille garnish, front bumper under garnish, side under garnish, door visor, 15-inch polished alloy wheels, front and rear mud flaps in red and spare wheel cover with Rhino image.
Dual-tone color options of the Jimny Rhino Plus include Kinetic Yellow with Bluish Black Pearl and Chiffon Ivory Metallic with Bluish Black Pearl. For this, an additional payment of RM1,000 (Rs 23,500) will have to be made. Jimny Rhino Plus is also available in Jungle Green, Medium Grey, Bluish Black Pearl and Pure White Pearl color options.

Both new variants of the Jimny in Malaysia continue to be powered by the K15B 1.5 liter VVT naturally-aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine. It generates 102 PS and 130 Nm of torque and is paired with a 4-speed automatic gearbox. The SUV has a part-time 4WD setup, which includes a transfer case with 2H, 4H, 4L modes. The Jimny is built on a ladder-frame chassis and comes with rigid-axle suspension. The new Jimny variants in Malaysia come with a warranty of 100,000 km or three years, whichever comes first.
