Tata Motors recently launched a major facelift in the Tiago hatchback, which is the spiritual successor to the Indica. We are saying big change because Tata had made slight changes in it only last year. Prices for the new Tiago start at Rs 4.69 lakh (ex-sh) and the variant lineup extends to Smart, Pure, Pure+, Pure+ A, Creative and Creative+ trims.

Right in the middle of this variant lineup is the Pure+ trim, which starts at Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-sh) for the manual variant. It strikes the right balance between price and equipment and is offered in a wide range of powertrain options including Petrol MT, Petrol AMT, CNG MT and CNG AMT.

Tata Tiago Pure+ mid-spec variant
In a recent video of the fuel injected, we can see a detailed description of the Tata Tiago facelift Pure+ variant. This may be one of the VFM variants that will ultimately be the highest volume generator for that model. In terms of equipment, it offers enough for most buyers to consider it. The Tiago Pure+ comes with a remote flip key and a manual key slot.

On the outside, we can see the Tiago Pure+ trim offering a number of features. These include 14-inch steel wheels with black wheel covers, multi-barrel reflector halogen headlights, body colored bumpers and door handles, spoiler, shark fin antenna, black finish on powered ORVMs with LED turn indicators, rear de-fogger, LED tail lights, black plaque connecting the tail lights and more.

At the rear are two parking sensors and a reversing camera that sends a feed straight to the 10.2-inch free-standing infotainment screen, which also gets adaptive guidelines. The screen supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It features a new steering wheel with matte finish and steering-mounted audio controls and the same LCD instrument cluster as the top variant.

The Pure+ trim gets the same dashboard as the top variant with fabric inserts. Even the seats are similar with extra padding on the side bolsters and under-thigh support. There is an updated center console with placeholders for two smartphones. Below this panel are two USB Type-C ports, one of which is a 65W fast charger.

Features, Equipment
At the rear, it has the same seats as the top model, but lacks rear AC vents. In terms of safety, 6 airbags, hill hold, iTPMS, ESP and other features are available. Manually dimmable IRVMs, cooled glovebox, new gear selector, new door trims and other elements from the top variant can also be seen in the Pure+. The Pure+ A trim adds auto climate control.
The same 1.2L NA petrol 3-cylinder engine can be seen across all variants of the 2026 Tata Tiago. This engine is also compatible with CNG fuel, and Tata offers a CNG-equipped variant with twin cylinders under the i-CNG umbrella that offers usable boot compared to larger single-cylinder CNG tanks.
