The ex-couple shared a joint statement on Insta Story and wrote – The baseless reports floating about our separation are wrong. These are fabricated things. It is being circulated with wrong intentions. Therefore, to put an end to all these things, we are putting forward the facts once and for all. No alimony has been shared between us. There is no quarrel between us. There is no third party involved in the breakup of our marriage.
“Mouni and I have decided to separate with mutual consent and respect. In this decision, each other’s well-being has been kept in mind. This is just the truth. Apart from this, whatever is being shared in the reports is fiction. All this is being done deliberately to defame two people. While we did nothing, just appealed to be left alone. ”
Sooraj told in the post that any claim made about him and Mouni is not true. The things said about the third person are also false. Bringing a third person into their relationship is not cool. His innocent friends are being dragged into this case. He has appealed to maintain decorum in the reports covering his divorce. Suraj asked media companies not to publish any news without verifying it. He asked for privacy for Mouni and himself.
The ex-couple had a grand wedding in Goa on 27 January 2022. Their marriage took place according to Bengali and Malayali customs. But this relationship lasted only for 4 years. Suraj is a businessman by profession. Their pairing was a hit among the fans. The news of their divorce has surprised the fans the most.
