The BMW X3 has been one of the most popular offerings from the German luxury carmaker for quite some time now. It used to be offered in X3 20 and X3 20d engine options and BMW has decided to take the performance up a notch and provide more oomph for potential buyers and driving enthusiasts.
This is where the new 2026 BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro comes into the equation, offering just what buyers have been demanding – more performance. For the MY26 edition, BMW India is offering the X3 in only one engine configuration and a fully loaded M Sport Pro trim level. Pricing for the 2026 X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro will be announced on February 16. After experiencing the new BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro for a short time in Aamby Valley, here’s what we think about it.
2026 BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro
Starting with the way it looks, the 2026 BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro gets a number of exterior and interior design updates as part of the new MY26 upgrade and the top-spec M Sport Pro trim level. Apart from some exterior design highlights with the MY26 edition, BMW is also introducing the 2026 X3 in a new color – Brooklyn Grey, to really set a point of difference. Other colors include Dune Grey, Alpine White, Tanzanite Blue and Black Sapphire.
For improved road presence and styling, the BMW 2026 X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro is offering four key exterior design highlights. These include the completely blacked-out kidney grille which now gets the ‘iconic glow’ that completely covers both these grilles. However, there is no M badge on the grille. BMW is also offering M-specific door projections.
The other major exterior design highlight is with its adaptive LED headlights where we can see a smoked-effect to make it look darker and more menacing than before. With its M Shadowline LED DRLs, the new 2026 X3 30 looks sinister. Similar smoked-effect rear tail lights are also given, which is its third major attraction.
The fourth major exterior design highlight can be divided into three parts – wheels, tires and brake calipers. Starting with the wheels, these M light alloy wheels have now grown from 19-inch to 20-inch and also get a new distinctive design. These give the X3 a more muscular and sporty stance that potential buyers will appreciate.
M Sport Pro Accessories
As for the tires, they used to be 245/50-19 at all four corners. But with the 2026 X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro, BMW is offering 255/45-20 tires at the front and much fatter 285/40-20 tires at the rear. This is the kind of tire configuration sports cars come with for better traction management and they look good on this SUV too.
Finally, we have larger brakes with M branded brake callipers that are painted red with the 2026 X3. To further enhance your X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro, BMW is offering three accessories. These include a front splitter, M Performance decals on the doors and a mean looking spoiler that will turn a lot of heads. However, in a good way.

There are now five exterior color options with the 2026 X3, but only two interior themes. These interior themes are not optional and are tied to the exterior color you choose. So, the Calm Beige interior theme is offered only with Tanzanite Blue and Black Sapphire, while the Espresso Brown theme is offered with the other three exterior color options.
Both interior themes get the same Veganza seat upholstery for a completely vegan animal cruelty-free approach. With the 2026 BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro, the company is offering only two interior updates. Being the M Sport Pro trim, the 2026 X3 30 gets new M Performance seatbelts with fancy M tricolor stitching.
However, the main update is with the materials used on the dashboard which BMW calls ‘Sensetec’. It’s soft to touch, gives a luxurious appeal and it replaces the previous cloth-like material introduced with the X3 20 and X2 20d. This is a welcome move by BMW India and is based on customer feedback.

Now that we’ve got the aesthetic upgrades out of the way, we need to talk about the most significant upgrade of the 2026 BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro, which is what’s under the bonnet. The 30 moniker in its name replaces the 20 moniker, reflecting the higher performance bracket, which makes more sense at BMW than cosmetic upgrades.

This has shaved 1.5 seconds off the X3’s 0-100 km/h sprint, which now takes around 6 seconds. BMW claims 6.3 to 100 km/h to be exact, but the company has a reputation for understating their 0-100 km/h sprint timings.
Underpinning this superior performance on the road is a quick-shifting 8-speed automatic gearbox and xDrive 4WD technology with 100% variable torque distribution. Along with this, BMW is offering Cornering Brake Control, Dynamic Stability Control, Dynamic Traction Control, Automatic Differential Brake/Lock along with other features similar to the X3 20.

The 2026 BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro is a proper hoot. We got to experience it briefly around Aamby Valley in Maharashtra and found it to be noticeably quicker, more performance-oriented and more eager to put a smile on the driver’s face. If you think the X3 20 is a good car, the X3 30 will impress you even more.
This sporty SUV features front and rear track widths increased by 45 mm and then adaptive suspension to significantly reduce body roll to provide excellent cornering capabilities for an SUV. Electronically controlled dampers automatically adjust damper response depending on driving conditions and driving style. Provides comfort at slow speeds and spirited driving experience at high speeds. Some would say, the best of both worlds.
The X3 30 has features and they definitely work. Despite our limited time with this SUV in Aamby Valley, we were thoroughly impressed by its performance and agility. It grips like it has six wheels on the ground, which is impressive considering the X3 30 is the largest SUV in its segment (4755 mm LX 1920 mm WX 1660 mm H).

It still has beautiful interiors with excellent materials and well-damped buttons, a fair amount of bling, a generous amount of tech and equipment and a well-thought-out UI for the screen, a useful iDrive system and an ergonomically well-crafted cabin. It offers generous space and comfort for front and rear occupants with a massive 570L boot and then a space-saver spare tyre.
Other notable elements include front ventilated seats, powered front seats, memory settings for the driver’s seat, 3-zone climate control with a dedicated zone for the rear occupants, adaptive LED headlights with cornering function, augmented-reality HUD, panoramic glass roof, premium Veganza upholstery, Harman Kardon audio, BMW Drive Recorder, multiple autonomous driving features, adaptive suspension and more.
The 2026 BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro is an X3 with more performance and more visual flair. A better deal, we’d say.
