Who was more stylish? Fans argue that Darshan’s suit from Kranti’s Dharani is identical to Yash’s outfit from KGF-2.
The debut single from Challenging Star Darshan’s Kranti will be released on Saturday. The song Dharani, composed by director V Harikrishna, will be released in Mysuru by the actor’s fans. The team had released a sneak peek of the song prior to its release, in which Darshan was seen wearing a white pinstripe suit.
Moments later, social media was abuzz with netizens pointing out that the stylist was unquestionably influenced by KGF: Chapter 2. In conjunction with images of Darshan from the song, images of Rocking Star Yash wearing the same suit and black shirt were circulated. According to them, the only distinction was that Darshan paired his suit with a blue waistcoat and white shirt. Some Internet users found this similarity amusing, adding that it indicates a crossover between KGF and Kranti, with Darshan being recruited to teach Kannada to the children of Narachi. They felt that Yash was the clear winner in this “contest” of who wore it better, with Darshan still sporting a significant amount of the weight he gained during the lockdown in this song.
Meanwhile, Kranti is scheduled for release on January 26. This is Darshan’s second film with director-composer V Harikrishna and producers Shylaja Nag and B Suresha. The film also reunites him with his co-star from the films Bulbul and Ambareesha, Rachita Ram. The actor has stated that he portrays a non-resident Indian who returns to India to help save his alma mater, a Kannada-medium government school. Darshan has stated categorically that he has made a Kannada film and will only promote it in Karnataka, despite the fact that the film will be released across India. In fact, when the news broke about the film’s subject, there was considerable debate about how the team could market it as a pan-India film.
