World’s oldest living land animal: A tortoise named Jonathan is the oldest animal in the world. He lives on the remote island of St. Helena in the Atlantic Ocean, whose age is so much that you cannot even guess. The name of this turtle is recorded in the Guinness World Records. Right now this turtle is in perfect condition. It was first brought to the island of St. Helena from the Seychelles in 1882, when it was about 50 years old.
According to Guinness World Records (GWR), Jonathan is believed to have been born in 1832. But the exact date is not known. This turtle has become blind

Earlier this record was in the name of a tortoise named Tu’I Malila. This tortoise died in 1965 at the age of about 188 years. The tortoise was given to the Tonga royal family by Captain James Cook around 1777.
