Sachchidanand/Patna, The wedding season is at its peak and the streets are seen decorated with wedding processions every day. The bride and groom are making many efforts to make their wedding special. In urban areas, the splendor of a wedding procession focuses on the get-up, look and theme of the bride and groom, but in rural areas, the splendor of any wedding procession focuses on the wedding guests.

In such a situation, if we talk about Mithila’s wedding, it is common for records to be made and broken in welcoming the wedding guests with traditional customs and their food and drinks. At a wedding in Darbhanga, a 25-year-old youth showed that he could eat more than 150 rasgullas, which earlier was a feat of elderly people, but now youngsters are also promoting this tradition.

In Mithila weddings, there is a food competition among the wedding guests, which adds to the splendor of the wedding procession. It is believed that only the people of earlier times could accomplish this feat, but today’s youth are also no less in this. Two days ago, during a wedding procession in Darbhanga district, a young man swallowed 150 rasgullas. Actually, all the wedding guests got up from their seats after eating the food. But, this young man and many of his friends were gulping down decorated rasgulla till late night. The name of this young man is Trilok Pathak, who is a resident of Harauli village. Local villagers told that it is specially invited in marriages, so that the gathering can be decorated in terms of food and drinks.

Makes records in every wedding procession
Trilok Pathak’s friend Nitin Jha is telling that his friend has been doing this in every village wedding since childhood. People have liked this habit and all the people in the marriage procession support them in this, due to which the feat of gulping Rasgulla happens in every marriage procession. He invites him in every wedding procession. The people standing next to him take rasgulla in the bucket and see it and with this scene he finishes the bucket saying “no no now”. Without Trilok, every wedding in Mithila would have such food connoisseurs. Someone eats 10 kg mutton alone, someone eats Rasgulla, and that too without counting.
