The National Institute of Technology in Trichy offers an MTech in artificial intelligence and data science


Starting this semester, the National Institute of Technology-Trichy (NIT-T) will offer a hybrid program in data science and artificial intelligence (AI).

The two-year online program is intended for professionals who are currently employed.

Any bachelor’s degree programs from a recognized institution, such as BE or B Tech, MSc (or any equivalent degree in computer science), or MCA, are required to apply for the course.

According to G Aghila, the institute’s director, the classes have been scheduled after work hours, including on Saturdays, as the course is only intended for professionals.

“We will begin offering this online program this semester. The departments of Computer Applications, Computer Science and Engineering, and Management Studies are all jointly offering the course.

This course has no entrance requirements. The director told reporters on Wednesday that passing their respective subject with 60% of the possible points was sufficient.

A flexible curriculum and credit transfer from prestigious institutions have also been introduced by NIT-T. Candidates for the program can choose from a number of options, including “Entry and Exit Points,” according to NIT-Trichy.

The director stated that if the professionals are unable to continue the program after completing six months of it, they may very well leave with a certificate provided by the institute with credit points, allowing the candidate to pick up where he left off at the same institute.

In this academic year, the institute also introduced integrated MTech/PhD programs. The only NIT in the group of institutions that award PMRFs is Trichy NIT, according to Aghila.
