Rajasthan is going to Promote Tourism at the Border

In an effort to bring more tourists to the area, the Centre has agreed to the Rajasthan Tourism department’s plan to turn the Shri Tanot Complex in Jaisalmer into a tourist spot. The Centre has also given INR 17,67 crore for tourism-related activities and building up infrastructure in the area.

This plan, which was made by Rajasthan Tourism, central agencies, and the Border Security Force (BSF), will not only give tourists a better idea of how people and security forces live in border areas, but it will also give people who live in far-off villages a new way to make a living.

Reports say that the government also wants to build an interpretation center, an amphitheater, a cafeteria, a play area for kids, solar-powered street lights, a surveillance system, signs, and other facilities in the village of Tanot in the district of Jaisalmer. The BSF will be in charge of running and maintaining tourist attractions and putting on shows for tourists.

Longewala is on the border, and the bravery of the Indian military there during the 1971 war with Pakistan is well-known. The place is a big draw for tourists, and the Tanot Mata Temple also gets a lot of people almost every day.

As part of its tourism activities, the BSF will set up a weapons display, show a documentary film, and set up a photo gallery at the Operations Base in Jaisalmer.
