Kantara, a Kannada film starring Rishab Shetty and one of the year’s biggest hits, will soon be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video. The film, which continues to perform well at the box office, will become available for streaming on November 24.

Kantara focuses on a small community residing in the Kaadubettu woodlands in the southeastern coastal state of Karnataka. In a conflict where death leads to war between villagers and evil forces, Shiva, a rebel, defends his village and the natural world. The film, which debuted in theaters on September 30, has already surpassed Rs 400 crore worldwide.

Rishab Shetty, the film’s director, said in a statement about Kantara’s release on Amazon Prime Video, “Audiences from all corners of the country have shown immense love for Kantara, and I am ecstatic that with its global digital premiere on Prime Video, we will be able to share our labor of love and hard work with a wider audience worldwide. It is a story with universal appeal, but the local flavor of the plot will keep viewers intrigued until the end.”

After its successful release in Kannada, Kantara was subsequently dubbed in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam, resulting in its widespread popularity. Hombale Films is the financier of the film.
