How to use Har Ghar Tiranga to upload a selfie with the national flag and place it virtually


In his Mann Ki Baat radio address to the nation on July 31, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that a special movement called “Har Ghar Tiranga” is being organized as part of the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” (from August 13 to 15).

He said, “Let us advance this movement by raising the National Flag at our residences. In addition, Modi urged people to use the Tricolour as their social media profile pictures from August 2 through 15.

The Mahotsav’s emergence as a widespread movement, according to the Prime Minister, makes him happy.

“All of us are going to witness a glorious and historic moment when India completes 75 years of its Independence,” he said.

The Ministry of Culture has launched an initiative called “Har Ghar Tiranga” to commemorate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

The Har Ghar Tiranga website, which was launched by the ministry, enables Indian citizens to virtually pin the national flag. To show their support, citizens can fly a virtual flag at their location.

On the website, you can also add a picture of yourself. The number of Tricolours that have been pinned so far across the nation is also displayed in real time on the website’s dashboard.

Here’s how to virtually pin the Indian flag

  1. On the website, click the “Pin a Flag” button.
  2. Your name and mobile number must be entered. You can also use your Google credentials to log in. Include all the necessary information.
  3. To continue, users must share location access, so enable location access on your device.
  4. At this point, Tricolour can be pinned to your location.
    On the Har Ghar Tiranga website, users can upload selfies with the national flag as well. To upload your photo of you holding the flag to the website, follow these steps:
    The “Upload Selfie with Flag” button should be clicked.
    Your name will appear in a pop-up window.
    Put a selfie online and press the “Submit” button.
