Bharat Tiwari/Jabalpur. India is a country full of talent. Here, from modern machines to Jugaad techniques also last a long time. One such story is from Gaurighat in Jabalpur, where only a fifth pass youth has made a boat which charges about 150 boats present in Gaurighat and glows at night. Ramu Malla, a 30-year-old youth living in Gwarighat, has built a boat which collects solar energy and illuminates the entire ghat. Raju charges the batteries of the boat using solar panels and at night it lights up all the boats present in the entire pier.

The interesting thing is that Ramu has neither gone to school nor taken any engineering degree from college, nor does he have any knowledge about electrical engineering. Ramu has gone to school only till the fifth class but his mind is so sharp that he is no less than any engineer. Ramu told that he neither learned nor read all this about technology from anywhere. He used to do small electrical work since childhood and gradually an idea automatically came to his mind that he would establish his own employment by using solar energy by installing solar plates in his boat.

Unique boat made from savings
Ramu has used his entire savings to build a boat which charges the many batteries present in the boat using solar energy. At night, all the boats present in Gwarighat are illuminated. Ramu has built this boat at a cost of about Rs 80 thousand. Earlier, there was not a single light in the ghat of Ramu’s boat at night. After its construction, just as lights are installed in the boat in Chitrakoot, Haridwar and other ghats, similarly the boat has started glowing in Gwarighat also.

Earns Rs 1000 daily
Ramu now charges the batteries of all the boats present in the ghat every day and earns employment worth about ₹ 1000 daily. Only fifth passed Ramu built this boat himself with the help of his sharp mind and now people go to him for all the electrical work of the whole ghat and Ramu, who did not go to school without any degree, is responsible for all these. He has so much knowledge which is no less than that of an engineer.
