BJP Will Perform Street Plays Throughout MCD Wards To ‘Expose’ Kejriwal’s AAP
Senior BJP leader Vijay Goel will ‘expose’ the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) through his singing and acting in the street play “Ham Anna Ke Chelen Hain” to win votes for his party’s candidates in the MCD elections.
Senior BJP leader and former Union minister Vijay Goel will campaign for his party’s candidates in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections by “exposing” the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) through his singing and acting in the street play “Ham Anna Ke Chelen Hain.” Goel sang “Ham Anna Ke Chele Hain” at a press conference at the BJP office in Delhi on Wednesday.
He stated that the ‘nukkad natak’ he authored will reveal how Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and other AAP leaders, who claimed to be disciples of anti-corruption leader Anna Hazare, subsequently engaged in corruption.
During 2011-12, Kejriwal and numerous other current and former AAP leaders demonstrated alongside Anna in the nation’s capital under the banner “India Against Corruption.”
With Kejriwal and his associates forming AAP and contesting Assembly elections in Delhi, the movement petered out.
In 2013, the AAP and Congress formed a city government that failed to complete its five-year term.
In the coming days, at least ten performances of the street play will take place in each of the 250 MCD wards, according to Goel.
With the play, the party intends to demonstrate how it will promote development if it regains control of the MCD, which it has governed for the past 15 years, and how the AAP government in Delhi has failed to keep its promises during its eight years in power.
Goel stated that the populace is pleased with the Modi administration’s public welfare initiatives and has faith in the BJP.
