Ayushmann Khurrana Hopes Strong Word-Of-Mouth Will Pull More Footfalls For ‘An Action Hero’ In Coming Days!
The recent film ‘An Action Hero’ starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Jaideep Ahlawat may not have performed well at the box office, but word-of-mouth appears to be helping the film recover.
On Monday, Ayushmann posted a lengthy note on Instagram about how the film was created by first-time storytellers and how it deserves audience support.
The letter is signed by both Ayushmann and the film’s producer, Aanand L. Rai. It begins in Hindi by listing the film’s many firsts, such as director Aniruddh, writer Neeraj Yadav, composer Parag’s first theatrical film, and cinematographer Kaushal Shah’s debut.
The note then describes how Ayushmann Khurrana and Aanand have always sought to distinguish themselves through their cinematic efforts.
It states, “As a team, we are constantly aligned and inclined to cause creative disruption. From ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’ to ‘Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saavdhan’ to ‘An Action Hero,’ we have endeavoured to provide audiences with something new to enjoy and discuss through our brand of cinema. Consequently, we are humbled by all the praise and “strong word of mouth” surrounding “An Action Hero.” We hope that this will lead to an increase in theatre attendance.”
“We’ve always wanted to tell stories differently and support projects that are original and clutter-breaking. We are grateful for the support ‘An Action Hero’ is receiving. It validates our decision to take the road less travelled, take risks, and hopefully contribute to making the storytelling industry more diverse.”
“For us, ‘An Action Hero’ is a rare script, a film that was intended to push the boundaries of creativity, and we hope that you will continue to show it love and appreciation in the coming days. Continue to love and support,” the statement read.
