
For the 2026 model year, Hyundai has updated its sole Ioniq offering in India. We are talking about the 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 5, which has just been launched in the country at a price of Rs 55.7 lakh (ex-sh). The new 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 5 is offered in four different color options. These include Gravity Gold Matte, Midnight Black Pearl, Titan Grey, and Optic White. The launch price of this updated model is Rs 55.7 lakh (ex-sh). According to Hyundai, the 2026 Ioniq 5 gets comprehensive product upgrades in terms of performance, technology, safety and everyday usability.

As far as design is concerned, the new Ioniq 5 clearly looks like the Ioniq 5, as it retains most of its parametric pixel design identity and silhouette. The updates are in the form of bold front and rear bumper design, stronger front and rear skid plates, new sporty alloy wheel design, new rear spoiler design and a revised high tech V garnish lighting design.

On the inside, the user-centric cabin continues and it is still one of the most spacious and premium cabins in its segment. The interior of the 2026 Ioniq 5 features updates focusing on utility, accessibility and everyday driving comfort. For starters, we now get a new 3-spoke leather steering wheel with quad-dot illuminated logo.

What’s new?
Additionally, the 2026 model gets a heated steering wheel, twin (12.3” + 12.3”) infotainment screens and instrument cluster displays, heated and ventilated seats along with integrated physical controls, a redesigned wireless smartphone charging pad. Safety has also been improved and Hyundai has added Parking Collision Avoidance Assist – Rear and Parking Distance Warning.

Technical upgrades include Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (CCNC), Controller over the Air updates, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Active Sound Design (ASD), remote immobilization for better vehicle theft protection through the Hyundai BlueLink app and a new in car payment feature that allows users to pay for EV charging directly through the infotainment screen.

Hyundai has given the 2026 Ioniq 5 a larger 84 kWh battery with a suggested range of 690 km, as opposed to the 72.6 kWh battery. 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 5 Fast DC charging that reaches 350 kW.
