Renowned carmaker, Renault, is stepping up its game in India, which has emerged as one of the most important automotive markets in the world. The company will launch its much-awaited Duster SUV on February 17. After that, there will be a ‘Mini Duster’ in India’s highly competitive B SUV segment.
The company is all set to showcase this ‘Mini Duster’ as the Bridger Concept which will make its grand debut tomorrow, March 10. Earlier, recent reports have revealed important powertrain-related details of this upcoming SUV along with a possible launch timeline. let’s take a closer look.
Renault Mini Duster information leaked
Duster is currently one of the most awaited cars in the country. It has been long pending and Renault is set to launch it in India on March 17, 2026. 18 months after the launch of the Duster (2027 – 2028), Renault is set to expand its presence in the B segment (sub 4 meter) of India, where it currently offers the Triber MPV and Kiger SUV.
This expansion will come in the form of a new sub 4 meter SUV that will be previewed in the Bridger Concept, which will be unveiled tomorrow. This is the ‘Mini Duster’ that is being speculated about across the country and perhaps the world.
The production-spec version of the Renault Bridger Concept is reportedly codenamed RB3-K2 B-SUV. When launched, it is expected to offer a variety of powertrains under the bonnet. The usual suspect is the 1.0L turbo petrol engine that also powers the Duster, but there is also likely to be a new 1.2L NA petrol in the mix.
Furthermore, this upcoming Renault SUV is expected to have hybrid powertrain as well as pure electric powertrain options. The battery options are said to be 35 kWh and 55 kWh, which could set up a wide range of variants at multiple price points between Rs 10 lakh to Rs 20 lakh.

According to people in the know, Renault India currently has 6 new vehicle projects under development. Along with this, emphasis is also being laid on improving Renault’s existing portfolio. The SUVs coming from the new R-GMP platform are the Duster, Bigster and Mini Duster and with these, Renault aims to emerge as a serious contender in the SUV segment of India.
These new vehicles will also be part of Renault’s exports from India to markets such as South Africa and the Middle East. The upcoming Bridger SUV (Mini Duster) will be unveiled tomorrow and the teaser shows a boxy SUV silhouette with a strong road presence. It is expected to come with a 4WD setup and take on rivals like Mahindra Thar, Maruti Suzuki Jimny and the upcoming Mahindra Vision S.
