After several sneak peeks at the upcoming 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift, we now have a clear front-end image revealing the updated design. The latest image shows the SUV completely unknown from the front, giving a full look at the styling modifications. This development follows previous reports confirming mechanical upgrades including a new 6-speed manual gearbox and possible turbo-petrol plans.

New front design – chrome takes center stage

The grille treatment now appears wider and more pronounced, giving the Brezza a stronger road presence. The thick chrome bar in the center adds a more premium touch and aligns with the evolved design language seen on Maruti’s new models. While the shape of the headlamps remains the same as the existing version, the updated grille makes the overall front look fresher and more upscale.

Down below, the bumper design has been significantly revised. The fog lamp housings now feature a more vertical layout, replacing the rectangular design currently seen. A thick silver skid plate is also installed at the lower part of the bumper, which adds to the rugged appeal of the SUV. Along with the sharper bumper shape, these changes at the front give the model a more aggressive and upright character than the outgoing model.

Mechanical upgrades still required

As previously reported, the test mules revealed a 6-speed manual gearbox – possibly a first for the current generation Maruti product in India. This can significantly improve highway cruising efficiency and refinement compared to the existing 5-speed setup.

There are also strong indications that Maruti may introduce a new 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine option. This will allow the Brezza to remain under the 1200cc GST bracket while offering better performance than the existing 1.5L naturally aspirated engine. If launched, this combination of turbo engine and 6-speed manual could signal a major change in Maruti’s strategy for the compact SUV space. The existing 1.5L NA petrol and CNG options are also expected to continue.

Internal and feature updates

Previous spy shots also hinted at a larger infotainment system, possibly a 10.1-inch touchscreen, which would replace the current 9-inch unit. Additional feature upgrades such as ventilated seats and updated trim materials are also expected as part of the facelift package.

Launch Timeline

The 2026 Brezza facelift is nearing production readiness. Maruti may introduce an update in the coming months, possibly in the form of a silent model year refresh. With visible styling upgrades and possible mechanical enhancements, the 2026 Brezza could turn out to be one of the most significant updates to Maruti’s compact SUV in recent years.
