Discounts on Maruti Victoris are available on most variants including petrol, CNG and strong hybrid variants

From January 2026, some carmakers have increased prices, while others have opted to make specific models more accessible. Following a similar strategy, Maruti has announced special benefits for the Victoris SUV. This is the first time a discount offer has been announced for Victoris since its launch in September 2026.

For LXi and VXi variants (Petrol + CNG), the total benefits on offer are worth Rs 50,000. This includes a consumer offer of Rs 30,000 and a loyalty bonus of Rs 20,000. The benefit for ZXi and ZXi+ variants (petrol + CNG) is Rs 61,000. This includes a consumer offer of Rs 41,000 and a loyalty bonus of Rs 20,000. The highest discount is available on the strong hybrid variant of Victoris. The total benefit is Rs 78,000, which includes consumer offer of Rs 48,000 and loyalty bonus of Rs 30,000.

These benefits are possibly a limited period offer depending on stock availability. Maruti Victoris was launched in September last year at a starting price of Rs 10.50 lakh. Available for sale through Maruti Arena dealerships, the Victoris was positioned as a more accessible version of the Grand Vitara. The latter is sold exclusively through Maruti’s Nexa premium outlets. Since the Arena dealer network is much larger than Nexa, higher volumes were expected with Victoris.

Expectations were with Victoris working as planned in the months following launch. For reference, Victories sales in October 2025 were 13,496 units, which is higher than the Grand Vitara’s sales of 10,409 units. Similarly, in November 2025 the numbers stood at 12,300 units (Victoris) and 11,339 units (Grand Vitara). However, Victoris sales fell by almost 50% to 6,210 units in December 2025. It again climbed to 15,240 units in January 2026 and entered the list of top 10 cars for the month.

Launch of new rivals

The segment has seen a sharp increase in competitive activity in recent months, with deliveries of new models like the Tata Sierra and Kia Seltos set to begin from January 2026. This has been further enhanced by upcoming launches like Renault Duster and Nissan Tecton, increasing the intensity in the mid-size SUV space.

With the entry of many new and refreshed SUVs in this segment, manufacturers are rapidly improving the pricing and offers to remain competitive. Additionally, within Maruti Suzuki’s own portfolio, the Grand Vitara continues to overlap closely with the Victoris, as well as intensifying internal competition.

Against the backdrop of increasing competition and increasing number of options for buyers, the introduction of discounts on Victories appears to be a timely move by Maruti Suzuki to maintain momentum and protect volumes. With new rivals entering the segment and internal overlap with the Grand Vitara, the targeted gains could help the Victorious maintain its position as a value-focused mid-size SUV, while keeping it relevant in an increasingly crowded market.
