Bajaj Auto’s two-wheeler and CV sales also witnessed good growth in both domestic and international markets

It was a great start to the calendar year 2026 for Bajaj Auto Limited, where both its domestic sales and exports ended on a strong note. The company has recorded double digit growth across all segments, be it two-wheelers and commercial vehicles, where demand was high in both the local and global markets. The recent acquisition of the KTM, Husqvarna and GasGas brands has stood the company in good stead, while the upcoming bikes, especially the Pulsar range, will further boost sales in the coming months.

Bajaj Auto’s two-wheeler sales in the domestic market stood at 2,14,727 units, which was 1,71,299 units in January 2025. This corresponds to an increase of 25%. This was a significant increase in terms of month-on-month performance as compared to December 2025 sales of 1,32,228 units.

Two-wheeler exports also increased dramatically by 22% to 1,91,568 units from 1,57,114 units. This indicated strong acceptance in the global markets, marking Bajaj Auto as a major global exporter of motorcycles. Due to this, total two-wheeler sales increased by 24% from 3,28,413 units to 4,06,295 units.

The commercial vehicles segment also ended January 2026 on a positive note. Domestic sales rose 27% to 47,248 units, up 27% from 37,060 units in January 2025. Exports showed an even stronger performance, with a 53% year-on-year growth from 15,567 units to 23,879 units. Thus total CV sales increased by 35% to 71,127 units from 52,627 units, showing a volume increase of 18,500 units.

Taking into account total sales (2Wh+CV), Bajaj Auto’s domestic sales grew 26% to 2,61,975 units from 2,08,359 units, while exports grew 25% to 2,15,447 units from 1,72,681 units. Thus, total sales increased by 25% to 4,77,422 units, whereas in the same month last year, total sales were 3,81,040 units.

When assessing sales during the last financial period from April to January 2026, Bajaj Auto has seen a decline of 2% in its two-wheeler sales. Sales in the period April-January 2025 were 19,78,452 units which declined to 19,41,855 units in the current period. On the other hand, exports remained positive at 16,14,601 units, up 16% from 13,88,707 units, strengthening the brand’s presence in global markets across Africa, Latin America and parts of Asia. This took total two-wheeler sales to 35,56,456 units, up 6% from 33,67,159 units.

Commercial vehicles witnessed strong demand in both domestic and global markets, with domestic sales growing 6% to 4,26,758 units. This was a significant growth of 53% in terms of exports with 2,40,817 units exported during the April-January 2026 period as compared to 1,57,569 units in the same period last year. Thus total CV sales increased by 19% to 6,67,575 units from 5,61,913 units.

Bajaj Auto’s total sales (2W+CV) in domestic markets stood at 23,68,613 units, down 1% YoY, while exports stood at 18,55,418 units, up 20% YoY. This took total sales up by 8% to 42,24,031 units during April-January 2026 from 39,29,072 units in the corresponding 10-month period last year.
