Suzuki 2W sales show 15% YoY, 14% YTD growth in January 2026

Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL) has started the year 2026 with a bang as the company has registered huge sales growth on a year-on-year basis. Both domestic sales and exports grew on a year-on-year basis in January 2025. Even the company’s spare parts sales recorded positive year-on-year growth. Let’s take a closer look at these numbers and see what’s what.

Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd, maker of the legendary Hayabusa, has reported positive growth in YoY and MoM aspects at the beginning of CY2026. The company managed to sell a total of 1,25,786 units last month, giving a positive result in terms of sales. Suzuki witnessed a YoY growth of 15.48% with volume of 16,865 units, compared to 1,08,921 units sold in January 2025.

Suzuki witnessed a 2.79% growth in MoM sales, with volumes rising by 3,420 units, compared to 1,22,366 units sold in December 2025. Breaking down these figures further, we can see that Suzuki’s domestic sales in January 2026 were 1,00,296 units, which was 79.74% of Suzuki’s total sales.

There was a volume growth of 12,462 units, up 14.19% year-on-year, as opposed to 87,834 units sold in January 2025. In December 2025, Suzuki sold 97,823 units, giving it a 2.53% MoM growth of 2,473 units in volume.

Exports accounted for 20.26% of Suzuki’s total sales, with shipments of 25,490 units last month. Compared to 21,087 units shipped last year and 24,543 units shipped a month ago, Suzuki’s exports witnessed a growth of 20.88% YoY and 3.86% MoM, reaching 4,403 units YoY and 947 units in volume MoM.

YTD sales

As far as YTD sales are concerned, Suzuki’s sales numbers fell in the green compared to last year. A total of 11,87,953 units were sold with 13.95% YoY growth, 9,69,868 units were sold in the domestic market with 11.87% YoY growth and 2,18,085 units were shipped to export markets.
