It will be just eight months since India’s victory over Australia in the 50-over World Cup when the two teams meet in London on Sunday, with the two rivals having also clashed in a three-match T20 series earlier this year, which Harmanpreet’s side won 2-1.
Both the teams know each other very well and Harmanpreet admitted that India enjoy testing themselves against Australia and always improve their game when facing the six-time T20 World Cup champions.
“They (Australia) are one of our favorite opponents and hopefully we will have our best performance that day (Sunday),” Harmanpreet said.
“We know that in these tournaments it is important to win every game and sometimes when things do not go your way, at that point you have to give your best.
“And I think that game is very important. And if we win that, I think we’ll definitely get a lot of confidence from that.”
