
After looking at the 150cc to 200cc motorcycle sales, let’s now look at the 350cc-450cc motorcycle segment, which has registered healthy growth in May 2026, with total sales reaching 1,10,725 units, up 32.31% YoY from 83,687 units sold in May 2025. However, sales declined by 6.97% on a month-on-month basis. 1,19,022 units were recorded in April 2026.
Royal Enfield remains ahead
Royal Enfield occupied five of the top eleven spots in the segment, with its 350 cc lineup continuing to account for the majority of sales. The Classic 350 remained India’s best-selling motorcycle in the category with 34,594 units, achieving 31.24% share in the segment. The Bullet 350 stood second with 23,372 units, while the Hunter 350 continued its strong performance with 20,418 units. Combined, Royal Enfield sold 90,028 motorcycles across these six models, accounting for over 81% of total segment sales.

4,447 motorcycles were sold in the Jawa-Yezdi-BSA range, which is more than double the sales compared to last year with a 103.06% year-on-year growth. Triumph’s 350cc motorcycle posted 4,348 units. Meanwhile, sales of the older Triumph 400 range dropped sharply to 129 units, reflecting the transition to the new platform. Honda’s 350cc lineup also delivered good profits. The CB350 registered a 73.36% rise to 4,178 units, while the H’ness CB350 surged 66.12% to 2,128 units.
Bajaj’s updated motorcycles also benefited from their new 349cc engine. The Pulsar 350/400 lineup registered 1,523 units, registering the highest percentage growth of 205.21% among established brands. The Dominar 350/400 range has also grown to 703 units, up 68.59% compared to last year. KTM’s new 350 cc motorcycle entered the market with 1,653 units, while the existing 390 range saw a sharp decline of 247 units, a decline of 76.23%, mainly due to the transition to the new 350 cc platform.

Hero MotoCorp and Harley-Davidson’s X440 recorded 1,078 units, more than double with 125.52% year-on-year growth. Aprilia’s RS 457 continued to grow with 232 units, up 82.68%, while the Tuono 457 registered 31 units.
Performance as per OEM
Royal Enfield continued its dominance in the 350cc-450cc motorcycle segment with sales of 90,028 units in May 2026 and achieved 81.31% market share. The company recorded a YoY growth of 24.87% led by sustained demand for the Classic 350, Bullet 350 and Hunter 350, which totaled around 78,400 units. Despite increasing competition, Royal Enfield remains the undisputed leader in the segment.

Bajaj Group – comprising Bajaj, Triumph, KTM and Husqvarna – emerged as the second largest player with 8,603 units and 7.77% market share, registering a healthy growth of 72.23% YoY. Honda retained the third position with 6,306 units, a growth of 70.85% year-on-year. Jawa-Yezdi-BSA recorded the highest growth of 103.06% among major OEMs, crossing the 4,400-unit mark, while Harley-Davidson X440 also more than doubled its sales.
Aprilia recorded modest growth, while Kawasaki recorded no retail sales during the month. Overall, the segment remains heavily in favor of Royal Enfield, although competition continues to intensify with new products from Bajaj Group, Honda and Classic Legends.
