Royal Enfield reported domestic sales of 94,115 units in May 2026, registering a healthy growth of 24.13% as compared to 75,820 units sold in May 2025. However, sales were down 9.62% on a month-on-month basis compared to 1,04,129 units sold in April 2026. The company’s core 350cc portfolio continued to be the primary growth driver, accounting for more. 92% of total domestic sales. Models like the Classic 350, Bullet 350 and Hunter 350 collectively contributed over 78,000 units during the month.
Royal Enfield Sales Breakup May 2026
The Classic 350 led the lineup with sales of 34,594 units in May 2026, up 20.84% from 28,628 units sold a year ago. Motorcycles accounted for 36.76% of Royal Enfield’s domestic sales. Bullet 350 emerged as one of the strongest performers, registering a growth of 35.26% with sales increasing from 17,279 units to 23,372 units in May 2025. The Hunter 350 also delivered strong results, reaching 20,418 units, up 27.84% year-on-year. Meteor 350 recorded sales of 8,360 units, which is 8.61% higher than 7,697 units sold in the same month last year.
Among Royal Enfield’s new products, Guerrilla was the fastest growing model at 450 per cent. Sales grew 60.10% to 1,657 units as compared to 1,035 units in May 2025. Himalayan registered a marginal growth of 9.27% with sales of 1,627 units, while sales of the 650 Twin range increased by 34.65% to 3,602 units. On the other hand, Super Meteor and Shotgun saw a significant decline. Super Meteor sales fell 52.53% to 404 units, while Shotgun sales fell 58.25% to only 81 units.
350 cc motorcycles dominate overwhelmingly
Royal Enfield’s sub-350cc range, which includes the Classic, Bullet, Hunter and Meteor, produced 86,744 units in May 2026. This represents a growth of 24.68% compared to 69,576 units sold in May 2025 and accounts for 92.17% of total domestic sales. The 450cc portfolio including Guerrilla 450 and Himalayan registered combined sales of 3,284 units, a growth of 30.11% year-on-year. Meanwhile, the 650cc range recorded a growth of 9.87% with sales of 4,087 units.
Sales decline MoM
Despite good year-on-year growth, Royal Enfield’s domestic volumes declined across almost the entire lineup compared to April 2026. Total sales declined by 10,014 units or 9.62%. The Classic 350 declined by 8.88% MoM, while the Bullet 350 and Hunter 350 declined by 6.66% and 6.97% respectively. Meteor 350 saw a massive fall of 16.90%.
The biggest sequential decline came from the Guerrilla 450, which fell 33.02% from 2,474 units in April to 1,657 units in May. Shotgun sales also declined significantly by 42.96% MoM. At the category level, Royal Enfield’s 350cc motorcycles declined 8.70% month-on-month, while the 450cc range declined 25.62%. The 650cc portfolio recorded a decline of 13.04%.
