India’s electric 2W industry is growing rapidly, but the engine of growth is driven by the success of electric scooters rather than electric motorcycles. More players are coming into this huge untapped market to make money and create a larger share of this segment, which is still in its nascent stage.
One such player is Samarth E-Mobility Pvt Ltd, which recently entered the electric mobility sector with a new electric motorcycle, which has been spotted testing for the first time. The company is working towards a completely indigenous software and hardware ecosystem with a proprietary operating system and other components.

new avor electric motorcycle
Samarth E-Mobility is entering the Indian electric motorcycle scene with a new brand called Avor. Their first product was first spotted testing on public roads around Ahmedabad. It is a Street Fighter-style electric motorcycle that was fully camouflaged and follows the traditional ICE motorcycle silhouette rather than redesigning the game.
This is a smart move as the Indian auto market does not favor early adopters of radical change. From what we can see, it seems that the new Evo electric motorcycle has 150cc to 200cc motorcycles in its crosshairs and may offer performance to match this displacement class.

Similar to the 150cc to 200cc, Avore’s new electric motorcycle looks like it is packing premium components. We can see alloy wheels, front and rear disc brakes, LED lighting all around, muscular stance, strong body work that extends to the battery pack, split seats, split rear grab rail, what looks like a TFT instrument cluster and a lot more.
We can see road-style wide handlebars, slightly set back footpegs and a natural sitting posture that should allow riders a comfortable ride. The cluster may feature connected technology via Bluetooth projecting notifications, music controls, and even turn-by-turn navigation. Avor’s website shows a trellis frame that will be suspended by RSU front forks and a rear mono-shock.

what to expect?
Samarth E-Mobility and their new Evore electric motorcycle can make a significant impact in the industry if they get the design, engineering, quality, performance and wow factor right. The battery pack will be a 5 kW unit that will power the mid-mounted motor rated at 10.5 kW (14 bhp), along with the Evo Sense software stack that runs the entire show.
From what we can see in this recently spotted test mule, it looks like the new Evo electric motorcycle is production ready and may enter the Indian e-motorcycle market soon. More details will be revealed in the future.
