If you are planning to watch the movie this week, here is the Pinkvilla review.
plot
Dridam follows Vijay Radhakrishnan, a newly recruited officer who takes charge of a station nestled in the hills, where life looks bright and peaceful. Apart from occasional skirmishes between the locals, the station has no significant history, making it an ideal posting for a newcomer to enter the difficult world.
Soon, Vijay’s worst nightmares come true as a series of horrific incidents unfold one after another in the area. With increasing illegal activities, his efficiency is quickly called into question, and he must solve cases before it is too late.
what works for drydam
Dridam It’s built on a weak concept and uneven narrative, but the climax provides a level of satisfaction that enhances the overall experience. The film largely depends on its climactic twist, which remains difficult to predict till the end.
Furthermore, Shane Nigam convincingly portrays his character’s innocence through his body language and performance. Many of the supporting actors also turn in reasonably satisfactory performances.

What doesn’t work for drydam
The film struggles primarily due to its inability to find a consistent rhythm in its storytelling. Although the script ultimately succeeds in the climax, the journey beyond is filled with clichés and a weak tone.
The biggest drawback of the film is its weak dialogue writing. Many conversations drag on unnecessarily, making the film boring at times. The characters themselves seem shallow and underdeveloped, which further hampers the viewing experience.
Additionally, the technical aspects of the film fail to leave a lasting impression.
Display
Shane Nigam He does his best with the material he is given. While he successfully captures the essence of an amateur officer, the script works against him, making it difficult for the audience to connect with the character’s emotions.
Apart from him, the ensemble cast delivers mixed performances, but none are strong enough to leave a lasting impact.
Decision
Despite its shortcomings, Dridaam has enough to keep an average viewer mildly engaged. However, the freshness and originality that a mystery thriller needs to completely captivate its audience is largely missing, impacting the overall experience even on OTT platforms.
