In Fatehpur district of Uttar Pradesh, the case of a missing youth turned into a sensational incident of murder. The police have solved the case and arrested a couple. It is alleged that the youth was murdered over a dispute over love affairs and later an attempt was made to destroy the evidence by disposing of the body.
According to Superintendent of Police Abhimanyu Manglik, Vijay Nishad, resident of Tikra village of Bakewar police station area, had left home on May 8, 2026, but did not return. On May 11, his family lodged a missing complaint. During the investigation, the police analyzed the call details and mobile location, which revealed that Vijay was in constant touch with a woman from Hamirpur district.
Had no husband for four months then started an affair
On the basis of mobile location, Vijay’s motorcycle was recovered from Ghatampur area of Kanpur. After this, the family members accused Hamirpur resident Kamta Prasad Nishad and his wife Kiran Devi of calling Vijay and murdering him. The police registered the case and started interrogating both of them.
Investigation revealed that Vijay and Kiran Devi were in a love relationship for four months. According to the police, when Kamta Prasad was working outside, the closeness between the two grew. Later, Vijay continued to keep in touch with Kamta even after her return, due to which the couple reportedly hatched a plan to oust her.

Police say that on May 8, Vijay was called home, where he was murdered. Kamta Prasad, who was already present at the house, killed him by hitting him through the door frame. According to the police, after the murder, both the accused hid the body and tried to dispose of it at night. When there was difficulty in filling the dead body in the sack, his body was cut with a saw and a grinder. After this the body was taken to the forest of Kanpur Nagar area and burnt.
Throw away shoes and clothes separately
To destroy evidence, the deceased’s mobile phone, PAN card, ATM card, shoes and other items were also thrown at different places. Following the trail of the accused, the police have recovered many important evidences including remains of the dead body, remains of mobile phone, pieces of burnt clothes, saw, grinder blade, motorcycle, which have been identified by the family members of the deceased.
Identification will be done through DNA test
SP Abhimanyu Manglik said that investigation of digital evidence also revealed that information related to crime, punishment and investigation was searched on the mobile phones of the accused. Police have arrested both the accused. However, DNA testing is being conducted for the final identification of the recovered remains. Further legal action will be taken after the report comes. At present, the police say that the case has been solved on the basis of available digital and physical evidence and the investigation is ongoing.
