
Hero MotoCorp has launched the new Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 in India at Rs 86,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The updated commuter motorcycle gets revised styling, new connectivity features and improve fuel efficiency. It continues to target buyers looking for a practical and fuel-efficient 125cc commuter.
The Super Splendor has been one of Hero’s flagship commuter motorcycles for years, and with the XTEC 2.0 update, the company is adding more modern features to keep it relevant against rivals like the Honda Shine, TVS Raider 125 and Bajaj Pulsar 125.

While the overall design remains familiar, the updates help give the motorcycle a fresh look. The new Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 gets refreshed graphics, new color options and XTEC 2.0 badging. Hero has also added stitched dual-texture seats and rim tape for a slightly sporty look. Color options include:
– shiny black
– Candy Blazing Red
– matte axis gray
– matte nexus blue
– matte chestnut brown

Engine and Mileage
Power comes from the same 124.7cc single-cylinder engine that produces 10.7 bhp and 10.6 Nm of torque. The motor continues with fuel injection and is designed for everyday urban commuting. Hero claims a mileage of 72 kmpl with the help of the company’s i3S idle stop-start system and APFI technology. The bike also gets an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG), which allows quiet engine start and smooth restart operation in traffic.

Hero has also added hazard lights for the first time to the Super Splendor lineup. For braking, the motorcycle comes with a front disc brake setup with CBS. Other additional features include a handlebar-mounted engine kill switch. The biggest updates come in the form of new features. Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 will now get these features:

– Real time mileage indicator

The motorcycle continues with a commuter-centric setup featuring an upright riding posture, long seat and telescopic front suspension. Hero says the ergonomics are aimed at reducing fatigue during daily use. With this update, Hero is trying to make the Super Splendor more modern without changing the basic formula that has worked for years in the commuter segment.
